Day to day

Day 1: Boat Safari on Rufiji River

Your journey begins with a morning pickup in Dar es Salaam. Drive 4 hours to Nyerere National Park and arrive at Selous Safari Lodge in time for lunch.

In the evening, enjoy an exhilarating boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you’ll spot crocodiles, hippos, and birds. Return for dinner and overnight at Selous Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Nyerere Game Drive

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive. Encounter lions, giraffes, elephants, and African wild dogs. Explore varied landscapes, including wetlands and acacia forests.

Enjoy a packed lunch at a shaded spot, followed by an evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Nyerere Game Drive

Spend another day exploring Nyerere’s diverse wildlife and scenery. Witness rolling savannahs and dramatic river landscapes. After a day packed with sightings, return to Selous Safari Lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive to Mikumi National Park

Start with breakfast before driving 6 hours to Mikumi National Park, with a packed lunch along the way. Enjoy an en-route game drive in Mikumi, where giraffes, impalas, and zebras roam. Dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.

Day 5: Full-Day Mikumi Game Drive

After breakfast, explore Mikumi on a full-day game drive. Spot lions, buffalo, wildebeests, and elephants in their natural habitat. End your day with dinner and rest at Camp Bastian.

Day 6: Hike in Udzungwa Mountains

Begin your day with a hike through Udzungwa Mountains led by a professional guide. Learn about medicinal trees, observe vibrant birdlife, and reach the Sanje Waterfalls for a spectacular view of Kilombero Valley. Return to Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Hike in Udzungwa Mountains

Day 7: Transfer to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, drive 6 hours to Ruaha National Park, passing through scenic valleys and mountains. Arrive at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8-10: Ruaha Game Drives

Spend three days exploring Ruaha’s vast wilderness with extensive game drives. Discover diverse wildlife, including elephants, kudu, and crocodiles, along the majestic Ruaha River. Spot over 370 bird species and enjoy the park’s dramatic landscapes. Dine and rest each night at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.

Day 11: Walking Safari & Transfer to Mikumi

Begin with a walking safari accompanied by rangers. Experience nature up close before heading to Mikumi with a packed lunch. Arrive in the evening for an overnight stay at Camp Bastian.

Day 12: Return to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, drive back to Dar es Salaam with a stop for lunch in Morogoro. Arrive in the afternoon at your hotel, airport, or ferry terminal, concluding your incredible Tanzanian safari.
