Day to day

Day 1: Game Drive + Rufiji River Boat Safari

Your adventure begins with a morning flight (approx. 30 minutes) from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll start your first game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and the elusive African wild dog.

After a hot lunch, you’ll continue your game drive through the unspoiled landscapes until late afternoon. At 4:00 pm, enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River-famous for its large population of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife, surrounded by lush riverbanks.

In the evening, you’ll check in at Selous Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the wild.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Return to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, set out on your second game drive in a customized safari vehicle with a professional guide. Witness more of Nyerere’s wildlife and enjoy the rich diversity of landscapes-from wetlands and grassy plains to light acacia woodlands and panoramic highlands.

Pause for a packed lunch in the afternoon and continue the drive until 2:00 pm. Afterwards, return to camp to pack up and prepare for your 4:00 pm flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be transferred to hotel or airport, marking the end of your 2-day wilderness escape.
