Day to day

Day 1: Arrival

Driver/guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to hotel, located at the base of Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley—a journey of approximately 45 minutes.

This day is set aside for your arrival and acclimatization, allowing you to settle in and prepare for the incredible Tanzanian safari ahead. Since you’ll be arriving early in the morning, a full meal plan has been arranged, starting with a late breakfast.

After breakfast, you’ll head to Arusha National Park for a game drive and walking safari with a park ranger. Arusha National Park, located between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, offers unique landscapes unlike other parks in Tanzania.

Look out for black-and-white colobus monkeys, large mammals, and, in September and October, flocks of flamingos at Momela Lake. In the evening, you’ll return to the Venus Hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay.

Around 8:30 a.m., after a briefing from your guide on safari expectations and essential guidelines, you’ll set off for Tarangire National Park, often called “The Elephant Paradise.” Whether visiting for a day or staying overnight, Tarangire offers an unforgettable experience.

The park is renowned for its impressive elephant herds, diverse wildlife, and is one of East Africa’s top bird-watching destinations, with over 550 species, including several rare ones. You’ll marvel at the stunning savannah landscapes, iconic baobab trees, and abundant wildlife.

Accommodation: African safari camp Lake Manyara
Meals: All meals included

Today, you will embark on a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled along the base of the Rift Valley escarpment, the park features diverse landscapes, from giant fig trees and acacia woodlands to grassy floodplains. With its open plains, towering escarpment, Soda Lake, dense forests, and distant volcanic peaks, Lake Manyara is as stunning as Ernest Hemingway once described: “the loveliest I had seen in Africa.”

On the grassy plains, you’ll spot herds of buffalo, wildebeest, giraffes, mongoose, dik-diks, and zebras, while the acacia woodlands shelter the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and tusked elephants. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge
Meals: All meals included

We’ll begin the day early, descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning of spectacular wildlife viewing in one of the world’s most breathtaking locations. After the game drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the serene Hippo Lake.

Following lunch, there will be a brief game drive before we ascend back to the crater rim and exit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We’ll then drive to Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
Meals: All meals included

After an early wake-up and a delicious bush breakfast, you’ll embark on a 6-hour journey to Serengeti National Park. Here you will spend two overnights focused on an exciting evening game drive. Serengeti National Park spans 1.5 million hectares of vast savannah, famous for its awe-inspiring annual

migration of two million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, all followed by predators in search of food and water. The park boasts incredible biodiversity, home to at least four globally threatened species: black rhino, elephant, wild dog, and cheetah.

Accommodation: Serengeti Tortilis Camp / Serengeti Osero Camp
Meals: All meals included

After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a final game drive as we leave the Serengeti and make our way to Lake Natron. Today will be dedicated to game drives and exploring the unique surroundings of Lake Natron.

Lake Natron, a unique Salt Lake in northern Tanzania near the Kenyan border, lies within the eastern branch of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Its high-water temperatures (up to 41°C) and variable salt levels make it inhospitable for most wildlife. However, it’s an essential habitat for flamingos and supports unique life forms, including endemic algae, resilient invertebrates, and salt-tolerant fish.

Accommodation: Lake Natron Tented Camp
Meals: All meals included

Early this morning, we’ll head down to Lake Natron to witness the sunrise and observe the large flocks of flamingos that gather at the lake. After enjoying the morning activities, we’ll continue exploring the area before beginning our journey back to Arusha or the airport for drop-off.
