Full Itinerary
Day to day
Day 1: Arrival & East Usambara Exploration
Pick-up from Tanga or Moshi and transfer to East Usambara (Muheza area) Visit Amani Nature Reserve: butterfly farm, botanical gardens, and spice plantations. Guided forest walk and birdwatching experience. Overnight at eco-lodge in Amani
Day 2: Transfer to West Usambara – Irente Viewpoint Hike
Morning transfer to Lushoto in the West Usambaras. Hike to the Irente Viewpoint – panoramic view over the Maasai plains. Visit Irente Farm for local cheese tasting and Kwembago Royal Village. Dinner and overnight in Lushoto town
Day 3: Flora, Fauna & Magamba Forest Cultural Trek
Guided walk through Jaegertal farmlands and fruit tree nursery. Visit Vuli village to see soil conservation and sustainable farming projects. Afternoon hike to Magamba Forest: spot colobus monkeys, visit WWI trench, old German school, and Magamba village. Overnight stay in Lushoto
Day 4: "Growing Rock" Tour & Departure
Morning drive to Soni town for the Kwamongo Mountain hike. Enjoy butterfly sightings and views of Handeni Plains.Descend through Shashui and Kwemula villages to Magila Discover the mysterious “Growing Rock” and a local soil conservation project. Lunch and transfer back to Tanga, Moshi, or onward destination
